My friend, there is a LOT of difference between the words "rant" and "idea". It is very difficult to confuse between the two:

I feel sorry for EB3 folks even though I'm under EB2. But I get upset when some of the EB2 folks don't even know the reason why they started getting green cards recently all of a sudden ( b'coz of roll over). They don't educate themselves and talk as if they deserve the green cards. If was a collective effort from IV and fellow immigrants that pressurised USCIS to follow the rules and reduce the backlogs.

I do not understand why people spend their energy in coming up with some lame ideas. Just because you suffer does not mean that your fellows have to suffer, what is the point of being a sane individual with that kind of thought process.
There are people who come here on all kinds of visas F1, H1, L1 and like this country and stay back and need a green card for convenience. Students who came here want priority over people who came on H1B. It makes sense from their point of view.
Similarly people on H1B who got stuck in several stages and had to change the company have their own point of view.
How bout having a lame rule saying that GC for people with I.Q of 140 and above?

How bout having a lame rule like if you have a family you will be penalized by putting you at the end of the line for GC?
The list can go endless..

hi all,
Thanks a lot for all ur suggestions and support. As of now, nothing is moving on in my issue. The last correpondence with the employer was only when i sent mail asking for my money and got reply saying that they will contact their attorney to see what legal action they can take using non compete agreement. But till today, its calm and they are not replying to any of my mails or calls. I feel like its just a mail to scare me......took an appointment with attorney to discuss this and be geared up for action........

If you expect the IV core to dedicate it's time JUST for a particular secction of people, then you need to justify that demand.
In your opinion, EB3 is a LOWLY category as compared to EB2. So it is not enough that Nurses feed from it and just about EVERYONE else feeds from it. To top it off, overflow from eb1 goes FIRST to eb2 and then (and almost NEVER) to eb3. SO Eb2 gets a fair chunk of the greed cards, and over and above that you now want the IV core to further drop everything else and help JUST eb2 out? And who should make this demand? None other than someone who is trying to BREAK the community up into Eb2 vs Eb3.

If you think it is that ridiculuous, then you should tell the core members that. They did ask us to call him on the last day of LD. There is nothing wrong in writing to him. In fact, you are making a comparison that is not correct.

After reading lots of forums contributors, my 2 cents :
a) I think the first thing is ban those people who advise separation of interests or make invidual groups in forums.
As if things happening in india are not enough to divide people on all fronts, a new separation criteria is created here on EB1/EB2/EB3. A lot of us are very creative..wow !!
b) Initiative needs to be well spent and well thought. Its a forum for ideas and further on implementation. So, its for everyone. Taking initiative is not bad, go ahead, but walking tall on other peoples misery is not really very cool !!
People are waiting for 10 years in line, come on..think, if this happens to all of us..
c) Legal and illegal efforts. People accusing core of bank accounts withdrawls and all that nonsense, do not need any rebuttal.
The harshness of things is creeping in people, but pls. some sincerity is also needed.
I thank all of you who have worked hard for the benefit of all of us.

What do you mean by "not allow them to work"? Actually AC-21 weaken the case you are mentioning. Since pending/approved I-140 allows extension of H-1 indefinitely, that alone takes your point away.

Actually, because it is indefinite, it makes the case stronger that these people are here indefinitely and so should not be restricted in employment oppurtunities. This thread just puts things in perspective. Getting a GC and beyond is a good thing, but in the larger scheme of things, enjoying the present moment and enjoying what you got is far more important. You never know when it can end !

If we just keep watching the visa bulletin every month, there would be no change. We will see November 2001 in next couple of months after that it will become "U" again. We got to do something and we need guidance and direction from IV.

Is suing the only option? USCIS could be making unintended mistake. We want to get clarification in a smoother and faster process before the flood gates open in October.
There should be some other legal-process to get written clarifications/interpretation etc on the law (like some kind of AILA discussion with CIS).

I disagree. Changes in laws do not happen overnight and any efforts that core is making cannot be made public all the time. If they can get thousands of people the benefit of moving to EAD etc. then I am sure they are working behind the scenes to get more favorable changes done when the time is right. I have faith in their ability.
Moreover since I am not actively volunteering in any activities the least I can do is contribute. So I call on everyone to contribute for your cause - none of us is doing anyone a favor by contributing. We are DIRECTLY favoring us by making a contribution.
I guess the reason most of the people are not contributing is because they do not see any strategy going forward. I am sure IV core is working hard on the issues but there is lack of clarity as an organization.When the bulletins come out and dates dont move forward significantly, people start with various ideas ranging from flower campaign to eliminating country cap to EB3 - EB2 portability to ....( Most of them die by the middle of the month).If we look at the past, contribution campaigns have been successful ( up to reasonable extent) when there is a favorable bill on the floor and people see some hope. I remember till last year there was a guy ( I think Chandu13 ) who tried to motivate people for contribution by calling them coward, lazy.....Believe me it never worked...
So I think it is time to get serious and have some synergy and that might motivate people to come forward, participate and contribute.
