True, like I still have a EDD letter talks about my first case for GC was filled on Aug. 2001 as wanted to immigrant but what is the use, as I have to file new one as even if I have transferred my employment to my parent companies client, USCIS has no rule to transfer labor process or priority dates until has approved i140, they requires to file new one which surly takes time. And I am sure mostly people completed even 10 years of working waiting for GC have the same issue.

Dear admins,
I think deleting my post was not fair. The other people who have been bashing us with MS degrees need to also have their posts deleted.
I was not offensive in anyway, I just pointed out the reality of the situation and that is not "being offensive."
If you are afraid of alienating some of your contributors, well then by deleting the posts of ppl with Masters degrees you risk alienating them.
If I offended the admin personally if he/she does not have a masters degree, I apologize for hurting your "feelings" but that does not allow you to delete my post.
Finally, since 99% of the time the admins come back with not relevant to the thread, I agree on that ground but respectfully request the deletion of posts by a bunch of others like the "hiring manager" who instigated this discussion.
The posts were deleted on the basis of one criteria only- whether they were offensive to others or not and not on the basis of who wrote the post. If you do feel some post is offensive to you, please report it to us by clicking on the exclamation mark above the post.
As far as this discussion about Masters in the US is concerned, it must have been pushed for by the Universities themselves as this could be a selling point for their degrees.
People do have to realize that if people with Masters are taken out of the quota, then all of us benefit. In the current queue there could easily be tens of thousands of people with Masters Degree. If they are taken out of the quota, the rest of us benefit from the reduced queue.
PS - I have a non US, non STEM advanced degree but I still strongly support this measure.

If any left over after that then remaining numbers were equally divided between EB2-I/C and EB3-I/C so both EB2-I and EB3-I were getting equal share of spillover. Thats the way it should be.
If that were to be the case then EBROW should never have been retrogressed. E3ROW has been retrogressed for the last 20 months now.

2. We should use our lobbying resources and connections to contact decision makers from NumberUSA, FAIRUS.org and other major organizations and communicate our plans. We should clearly adopt a position against any bill which supports amnesty and offer a sensible, reasonable and fair quantitative increase in Employment Visa numbers. An example of reasonable proposals would be temporary increase of visa numbers, elimination of visa lottery and reallocation of visa numbes to EB, visa number recapture.

Lets not waste our energy on those who don't believe USCIS has done anything wrong or are content with the current state of immigration....lets focus on getting more and more support to this movement.
Ohh..BTW..i had another experience that I would like to share....Today, I went to renew my Driver's license which is expiring next week. I have already applied for H1-B extension. They did not renew my DL and sent it for immigration verification to SAVE(Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements). This process takes up to 3 months and till that time I have to stay without a DL. Worst part, when i went for my DL renewal last time..they did the same and I had to go thru the hardship without a DL for 3 months. I live alone..so imagine how I will live without driving here in US. I have been in US for 6 years and have 6 years of clean driving and immigration history.
I have another friend who went thru the same last year, his condition was even worse as his wife was pregnant at that time. The poor guy had to ask his friends for favors and hire cabs to take his wife to hospital for 3 months.
All of the above, because of the broken immigration system. If we don't raise a voice now,...when will we !!!!!

I just tried accessing my case status on line and I see the folowing message.
This message is like their Visa Bulletins, 6.00 PM on May 10th,2009?? India, EST, CST, MST, PST, Alaska , Hawaii or china time?

The Law/Directions from the congress regarding spill over distribution has not changed in over 5 years but it's interpretation and implementation by DOS has changed drastically in the same period.
They have gone "Vertical" to "Horizontal" and probably will somersault next .
2006 -2007 saw EB3 getting lion share of the spill over EB2. It is being reversed now, all without change in any laws/directions from congress.
This year's interpretation cannot be assumed as absolute just because it is favorable to a particular segment of applicants and it is incorrect to opine that any change in such interpretation requires change in law.
All this indicates that congress has given enough leeway to DOS to interpret it's directions , as DOS sees fit to run it's business.
and I think herein lies an oppurtunity for EB3 applicants to state their case and explain if DOS continues with it's current interpretation.
EB3 lobby has to impress upon the DOS that it is in DOS's intrest to not to starve any particular queue lest it will damage it's own throughput.
If convinced , DOS might look at alternative algorithm to mitigate starving within the current directions, atleast we can hope for that.

Please be sure we all have problems and all of us are fighting so do not think you are the unlucky one...take that thought out of your mind. And then fight and if you are determined to live, you can even beat this so called fatal disease! It is all in you, the power, bring out the power, whether you do Yoga or prayers... You can fight. You must understand that God is in you and even in your so called fatal cancer. God is everywhere, even in each action you do..connect with IT...and you will be at peace..and if you feel being in US will help all of you, so pray for it...BUT YOU MUST FIGHT AND CONNECT..
